SUE is a Certified Para-Optometric (CPO) optician who started working with this practice as a high school work-study student. At that time, the practice was owned by Dr. Bob Brown. She quips she has been fully depreciated as she's been around longer than any of us. The truth is that her knowledge, experience, and patient care skills are fully "appreciated" by our doctors, staff, and long-time patients!

JANE our receptionist, has been with our practice for over 15 years. She has served as a volunteer with VOSH, (Volunteers in Optometry Serving Humanity) in Belize and Dominica for several years. She is studying to take the AOA certification test in April. Jane recently assisted the Michigan Optometric Association with vision screenings at the Michigan Special Olympics. Jane is dedicated to keeping us on track with quality patient care!

MARY is the practice's Business Administrator and has been with OABR since 1993. She is a Certified Para-optometric (CPO), a volunteer tutor with RSVP, and is currently in the "Leadership Mecosta" program. The majority of Mary's work experience has been in the health care field. She is in charge of the day to day operations of the office, and also meets with patients interested in Laser Vision Correction to answer their questions and review their options regarding LASIK. She is the person to call with questions or problems regarding billing issues or other office matters.

HOLLY is a certified optician with both ABO (American Board of Opticianry) and NCLE (National Contact Lens Examiners) certification. She is a graduate of FSU's opticianry program in 2001, having been recommended by her teacher. She is very knowledgeable about product availability and is happy to answer your questions about specialty eye wear products.

DIANE is our insurance billing clerk and part-time receptionist; she is preparing to take her AOA certification exam. Diane has been with our office for over five years, and we're convinced she's a stand up comic in her off time! Having been a patient at an eye wear merchandising store that specialized in "quick exams", Diane is amazed at how much time is spent on our patient's care; from the first contact through the exam and insurance billing...we do whatever it takes to get the job done, and do it well!

SANDEE, an ABO certified optician, is formerly from Owosso where she managed a dispensary in an opthalmology practice. She served on the Opticians Association of Michigan board for several years. Sandee "retired" to the area and wanted to work once in a while...just for fun. She graciously helps our patients select the frame that's a perfect fit, and the lenses that will do the trick so they can see well and look great!
